The Program

The Dandy Brewing Company Artist in Residency is a program aimed at visual artists in Alberta.

Dandy has long valued the visual arts and this program is designed to support those who make the Alberta scene so exciting.

The program provides a small stipend every month, for 6 months. Throughout the 6 months Artists are also encouraged to collaborate with the Dandies on events and projects!

APPLICATIONS OPEN FEB 22nd 2019

Applications are now open for the spring/summer 2019 residency.

Application deadline is 11:59pm, March 14th 2019.

The Residency:

The project Dandy is looking to support should be a passion project, a project the artist has always looked to create but due to circumstances (financial, work, time etc..) has not come to fruition.

The project Dandy is looking to support can be born in any artistic discipline, textiles, paint, sculpture, audio, writing, anything.

In no way does the supported project need to include Dandy branding, it is up to the artist to decide on what they want to do.

The successful applicant will receive a modest monthly stipend, an opening show at the completion of the project, opportunity to show their work within The Tasting Room, as well as some of the other great perks of being involved with a brewery.

To Apply:

Interested artists should send a bio, portfolio (digital either in a zip file or weblink), and a brief artist statement outlining the perspective project to benjamin(at)dandybrewing(dot)com.

All applicants will be considered, and judged by a cross country/cross discipline panel. With the the successful applicant being notified not later than March 25th 2019.
